How and in what format do I submit my images?
Typically photos are sent by e-mail or are mailed on a CD to our PO box in Milwaukee. For best display we require that each photo is 200 dpi and that the shorter side of the photo is 4 inches in length. We will accept either a Windows bitmap or a JPEG file format.

Do I have to shoot digital or can I also use film?
You can shoot film. However, all submissions must be in digital format.

How long does it take for my images to be posted?
We will post your images within 72 hours of receipt. Each Photo-fest.com page contains up to 25 photos. We recommend that you limit the number of photos per event to 75. This will make it easier for your customers to find their photos. For some large events you might want to break the event into smaller sections. For instance, a wedding might be split into three events, one for the rehearsal dinner, one for the wedding and one for the reception.

How long are my images and events archived for?
At this time we will keep your photos available to your customers for one year on your site. It is important to keep your web site fresh by adding new events, photos and promotions.

Who owns the copyrights?
You, the photographer, own the copyrights. However, Photo-fest.com reserves the right to use any images in advertising or promotional material with your credit line. Images of professional athletes and their team logos are copyrighted by the leagues and players associations and will not be posted. However, they can be used on your home page if not offered for sale.

How and when am I compensated?
You will be notified by e-mail every time a sale is recorded through your store. We will then do a detailed monthly reconciliation of your account and issue your check by the 10th day of the next month.

Does Photo-fest.com have the right to edit my images?
You are encouraged to edit your own photos prior to submission. This greatly improves the customers' experience and creates more timely sales. However, Photo-fest does reserve the right to edit or remove any images deemed inappropriate. Our commitment is to the celebration of life and the human spirit. Any photo that is demeaning in nature or unwholesome will not be posted.

Do I need model releases?
In most cases, no. Photo-fest.com does reserve the right not to post any images that we feel require a model release. For example, photographs of people on a beach taken unknowingly with a 600mm lens. We always ask permission from individuals or organizations to take photographs. This is the only way you will be able to reconnect with these individuals or groups for sales.

What kind of events work best?
We are committed to photography that helps people capture special and unique moments in their lives. Certainly sports events, family reunions and weddings are leading examples of special moments, but any event at which many people gather and that has a theme is suitable.

Can I use the Photo-fest.com logo?
Yes. Included with your fee is the right to use the Photo-fest.com logo for your own personal promotions and advertisements.

Am I under contract to supply a specific number of images or events?
No. However, it is in your own best interest to use your web site and store as a communications/sales tool for your customers. Most people like to view photos on the Internet, and we think this will increase your total sales.

Who handles customer service issues?
We provide a basic support service for you and your customers. We will work with you to resolve any customer service issues or problems. We want Photo-fest.com to have a positive reputation in your community. Essential to this reputation is the timely fulfillment of and quick response to customer inquiries.

Is photography training available?
We may be offering training in the near future. We will soon be making available an online photographers newsletter and tip sheet.

Are the photo products supplied by Photo-fest.com guaranteed?
The photo products we manufacture are based on high-quality, dye-sublimation processing. We offer a full money-back guarantee on any product if requested within 30 days of delivery -- for any reason. We expect photographers to offer the same level of commitment to quality with their photos, framing, etc.

How often can I update or change my web site?
As part of your annual fee we will make all edits necessary once the basic site and store is constructed. There is no additional fee. As your business partner, we benefit when your own program is successful.

How long will it take to get my web site and store operational?
We will supply you with a workbook that details the information and photos we need to construct your site. This workbook will also provide you with the opportunity to select the products and pricing you want to offer to your customers. Once you return the workbook we can have your site operational within 30 working days. As the site is constructed you will be able to review the work and make changes, edits, etc.

How do I get started?
Complete the application and submit your photos. We will then send your workbook so you can begin to define your site and store. All Photo-fest.com stores follow a simple, basic pattern. Events are organized and posted by their dates. When custome find a photo they want to purchase they click on the photo and it opens to your store. This format allows our graphics and design specialists to quickly create your web presence. The site and store for David Bernacchi represents the basic Photo-fest.com model.
